Midwest Heritage in West Des Moines was recognized by the Iowa Bankers Association (IBA) for its “Holiday Giving Program,” earning a Gold (first-place) Best of Iowa Award from the IBA for this community program. The Holiday Giving program allows Midwest Heritage employees, full or part-time, to donate up to $100 each to an individual or family. This program allows for Midwest Heritage to give back to the community and truly make a difference. Along with their award, Midwest Heritage received $1,000 from the IBA to support a charitable organization of its choice. The bank selected the Pinky Swear Foundation in West Des Moines, Iowa and presented the $1,000 donation to the organization on June 30th.

Approximately 98 percent of the banks in Iowa are members of the IBA and are eligible to participate in the Best of Iowa Awards competition. A panel of judges from the Indiana Bankers Association selected the award winners based on their objectives, strategy, execution and results.
