COVID-19 Stimulus Payment
With Americans and their finances feeling the impact of the coronavirus, through the CARES Act, many of our customers will be receiving a government stimulus payment. Americans will start to see some financial relief as the economic impact payments are issued by the Internal Revenue Service now through the coming weeks.
We have compiled answers to many of the most common questions surrounding the COVID-19 stimulus payment.
How do I know if I qualify?
Your eligibility is determined by the government. To learn more, visit: IRS.gov/coronavirus.
Midwest Heritage is not able to determine if you will be receiving a government stimulus payment.
How will the IRS send my payment?
If you qualify, your economic impact payment will either be deposited directly into your bank account or a check will be mailed to you. If you filed your 2018 or 2019 taxes and received your tax refund via direct deposit, the payment will be deposited into the same account used for the refund.
If you are a Social Security beneficiary who does not need to file taxes, you will receive your payment the same way you receive your benefits.
When will I receive my payment?
Payments started to be dispersed via direct deposit on April 15, 2020. Paper checks will start to be received in late April. These payments are being sent in batches over a period of time.

Midwest Heritage is not able to determine when you will receive your payment.
What do I do if my Midwest Heritage account I used for my IRS tax refund has since been closed?
If you are eligible for a payment and the account your payment was deposited to was closed when the funds were received, Midwest Heritage has returned the funds to the U.S. Treasury. They will then send your payment via check.

I have received my check. How can I deposit it into my Midwest Heritage account?

I received a message from the IRS asking for my personal information. Is this a scam?
Yes, this is a scam. There has been an increased risk of scams with the release of the government stimulus payments. Stay vigilant and aware of unsolicited communications asking for private or personal information. If you are hesitant about any related communications, notify the IRS or refer to IRS.gov/coronavirus.
